TRASH CAM: Psych Meds at BSTV Episode # 3, 31/07/14 at the New Cross Inn

" Are you ready for your medicine?"

Becky STASH and Nick STASH of rebel rockers STASH contributed a unique, bespoke spoken word, guitar and noise distorter set for BSTV Episode # 3. Donning sun glasses chic beatnik gear, their performance was a crucial element in our attempts at creating a Warholian Factory-style ambience, and many of the components of the set - spoken word delivery, psychdelic effects and shredding guitar, noise distortion and bass-via machine are at the heart of the duo's work in STASH.

TRASH CAM: The Exploding Sound Machine at BSTV Episode # 3, 31/07/14 at the New Cross Inn

'HERE TO BLOW YOUR MIND'

The Exploding Sound Machine travelled down from Birmingham to headline at BSTV in July, bringing with them a Hammond organ, solar lights and loads of other groovy gear and instruments. Easily one of the most authentic and atmospheric psychedelic bands playing in the UK today. If you get the chance to see them, do not hesitate as they really aren't lying when they say they are 'here to blow your mind'.

TRASH CAM: The Dials at BSTV Episode # 3, 31/07/14 at the New Cross Inn

MONDO SPACE

For BSTV's third outing at the New Cross Inn we covered a significant section of the venue in industrial catering foil - acquired by way of some outrageous flirting with a small company in Rochester who don't usually trade with the public. We still have loads of the kilometre's worth of foil left. Happily, our second act on 31st July, The Dials, got into the spirit of the EPI-themed night and proceeded to wrap their keyboard in the stuff. Hailing from Brighton and channelling wonderfully dreamy vocals and psychedelic textures, we loved their authentic brand of garage-y surf rock with its Doors-like keys and woozy 60s beat guitars.

Check out The Dials and their fabulous album 'The End of the Pier' at http://www.thedials.co.uk/

TRASH CAM: ME REX at BSTV Episode # 3, 31/07/14, at the New Cross Inn

The very wonderful ME REX kicked off BSTV's recent third episode, an Andy Warhol-themed Exploding Plastic Inevitable special, at the New Cross Inn. Running everything through a loop pedal, this performance saw ME REX play a cello for the first time, a rare treat for the BSTV crowd!
